Since his appointment into Showtime, Espinoza has made boxing a priority for the network. In 2012 Espinoza was signed by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to a multi-year, six-fight contract. Espinoza was also believed to have been “instrumental” in the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. Under the direction of Espinoza the Showtime-Mayweather partnership was responsible for three of the highest-grossing pay-per view events on television history Mayweather-Canelo, in the month of September, Mayweather-Pacquiao May 2015 and Mayweather-McGregor on August of 2017.
While studying at UCLA, Espinoza began working for a sports agents Leigh Steinberg.
